Macon Fuisse 2008, Chateau Beauregard
In our opinion this is the best producer in the appellation. Owned by the Burrier family for 5 generations, Chateau Beauregard own 36ha of vines in several Burgundy appellations such Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint Véran, Fleurié and Moulin à Vent. In the last seven years that the Burrier family has been in control, they have implemented new regimes in both the winery and vineyards. The result is reduced yields and high quality wines.
Tasting Note: Stone fruit, minerals and white flowers on the nose, vibrant and fresh tropical fruit flavours in the mouth, a touch of citrus, and a wonderfully crisp finish. Macon Fuisse is a lesser known appellation, producing small amounts of wine, this is a must try.
