Italy is the largest wine producer in the world, producing a wonderful array of wines often from indigenous grape varieties right across the price spectrum . We offer everyday wines from very sound producers up and down this varied country and we pride ourselves on offering a selection of thoroughly drinkable Pinot Grigios – none of the thin, acidic but otherwise tasteless stuff for us! We have stunning Chianti’s from producers such as Carpineto, Marchesi de Frescobaldi, Cantina Bonacchi and Castello Vicchiomaggio. Plus other wonderful wines such as the Moma Rubicone Rosso from Umberto Cesari, which never fails to delight people. But if you like life in the fast lane why not try one of the wines from the Podere Castorani winery (we stock reds, whites and a rose) which is part owned by the Formula One racing driver Jarno Trulli, which even produces a deliciously smooth Amarone style red called Jarno Rosso.
