Campania and Basilicata
Campania and Basilicata Wines
Campania is a region in Southern Italy with a mild climate and a richness of art and history. Mount Vesuvius dominates this region as well as the worldwide famous city of Naples. The ancient heritage of Campania’s vineyards and its great respect for tradition hold the key to this regions success in the wine world.
Basilicata is a region in the South of Italy, and although a mainly internal region, it does touch two seas, the Ionian and the Tyrrhenian. The mountains which are covered by woods and forests are scattered with small villages. This wine region is characterized by the extremes of temperature and the mountainous terrain, where the region’s finest wines are produced on the upper slopes.
