This partly owned family company, has recently embarked on a serious investment programme at the winery and has also planted 1,500 hectares of vineyards.
The bodega is situated in the foothills of the Andes in the Cafayate region around Salta in Northwest Argentina in one of the most scenic regions of this country. The vineyards are planted at 1,700 metres making them the highest commercial sites in the world. Cool climate plays a key part with great variations between night and day time temperatures, slowing down the ripening cycle and ensuring the development of good varietal character. The hallmark of Salta red wines is the great intensity of colour while the white wines, Torrontes in particular, are fresh and appealling.
Michel Torino is well recognised on the international market and is renowned for its excellent wine quality, elegant label design and premium presentation.
